Ait Ben Haddou and Telouet Kasbahs day trip will give you the chance to experience the best of the south, learn more about the Glaoui tribes and visit the most famous kasbahs of Morocco. During our tour, we will cross the Atlas Mountains and take the road to the Sahara Desert through the old caravan routes.
Ouarzazate is around 3 and a half to 4 hours drive from Marrakech. Because of the amazing scenic nature of the journey including snow-capped mountain ranges and arid basins, few travelers ever consider the trip to be a long one as they’re too busy enjoying the views!
Departure will be from your hotel after breakfast. We will pass through the Tizi N’Tichka pass (2260m a.s.l.) in the high Atlas Mountains (with stops for pictures), and back down the other side. You will discover a remarkable region characterized by the magnificent beauty of its landscapes dominated by Berber villages and farms.
Before arriving in Ouarzazate, we will visit the kasbah of Ait Benhaddou (a UNESCO World Heritage site) and then continue to Ouarzazate, “The African Hollywood”, where we will visit the Atlas Studios and the Taourirt Kasbah. In the evening, we will drive back to Marrakech.
